How much will it cost?
For this type of work we charge by the hour - $65/hr.
We find this tends to work out cheaper for our clients and is a fairer way to charge.
Is there a charge for fitting consultations?
Yes there is a cost of $30 charged for initial fitting appointments, taken at time of booking
This cost will be taken from the overall alteration charge. If you decide not to go ahead with
the alteration work, this amount accounts for time taken for the consultation.
Does it have to be a Maiden gown?
Absolutely not, we can perfect any wedding or formal dress to have ready for your day.
People often buy dresses online that are needing a little work and we can help to get these
perfectly fitting to you.
Do you do alterations on gowns other then bridal gowns?
Of course, we can work on any alterations, including evening wear, bridesmaids dresses,
mother of the bride or just your cute party dress.
The usual $65 / hr fee is charged.
How long before the event do I need to make a booking for?
6-8 weeks is the preferred amount of time for bridal alterations. Your last fitting will be around 2-3 weeks out from the wedding, which seems to be the sweet spot for people considering pre wedding body changes. For any other dresses please try allow 4-6 weeks to give time to schedule you in. Booking well in advance is advised to ensure you secure your spot.
I have an emergency - My wedding dress has just arrived but it needs alterations before I get married next week.

Can I book in earlier than 6-8 weeks before my wedding?
Absolutely. The more time we have to schedule the better, especially for bigger alterations. We’ll still book the final fitting for around 3 weeks out. This will also help you to secure your spot before the busy wedding season books out. It is wise to book in as you know when your dress will be ready.

Where is Maiden Bridal Boutique located?
157A Kitchener Rd, Milford, Auckland. Upstairs from Foot Mechanics - access the door from street level.
Where can I park?
There are 4 dedicated Maiden Bridal carparks located behind the building. Drive down the alley-way and park in the sign posted area.
There is also various street parking around Milford
What are the payment terms for alterations?
Full payment must be cleared for dresses to be released.
Cash or eftpos or bank transfer payments are accepted. We will let you know the final cost before you come in to collect.
